David Grow founded Howling Music in 1999. He is a Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling songwriter and producer, an award winning composer, and has scored hundreds of broadcast spots for many major national brands. Let's be honest, David lost the Grammy to Ry Cooder which may explain why we're not allowed to use the words "Ry" or "Cooder" around the office…

Kevin first came to us as a badass composer, but we quickly realized there’s much more to this human machine than meets the eye. There’s a rumor going around that Kevin was never born, he was built in a lab by super geniuses. While we haven’t been able to confirm that particular possibility, we have been floored by Kevin’s ability to melt faces, analyze data, and strategize. A fun fact about Kevin: He is Canada’s leading opinion on yogurt parfaits.

In one sense, Howard Pfeifer is the reason we’re all here. Many moons ago, he hired a young, starving artist named David Grow to help out with Pfeifer's Los Angeles-based music-for-advertising company. Now, years after that fateful day, Howard joins our ranks as Maestro-Grade, multi-Clio-Award winning composer. Howard has perfect pitch, can create full orchestral scores in his head, and pretty much scares the hell out of us with his seemingly endless talent.

Raphael@howlingmusic.com

Raph is a producer/engineer, originally from the Dominican Republic. He moved to New York City in 2013 where he made a name for himself producing underground Alt Rock artists such as The Flux Machine and G Matthews. In 2018, Raph decided to join the underground movement here in Nashville. He was recommended to us for good reason--he's a master mixer and serious technician who makes us look good and sound even better.

He's also the most licensed of any of our artists for good reason. KC's music is unflinchingly true to his roots while embodying a welcome tone of optimism for a brighter future.

This little merman grew up on the balmy beaches of SoCal. While we tried to wrangle him to our Nashville office the waves turned out to be not very good so now he’s back and set up a SoCal outpost. As head of creative Ryan brings years of composing knowledge and every bit of his psychology degree to figure out musical strategy and direction while leading a team of composers to deliver their very best work. Ryan is also available for surf lessons.

Noah is a native born son of Nashville and these people are surprisingly rare. Even more rare are guys who are seemingly good at EVERYTHING and that's Noah. He's officially our Technical Director which means he knows how to do stuff the rest of us don't. He started recording, producing and mixing in high school, went to Belmont University and now makes the impossible a reality on a daily basis here at Howling Music.

Who better to join our ranks than one of our best clients? This Motor City native has worked her producer magic for the likes of Ford and GM and knows her way around an agency boardroom. But would she cross over to the music side? It seemed like a stretch but dreams do come true so we kind of feel like the Bulls after drafting Michael Jordan in the first round. Speaking of sports, Britt is a BIG Red Wings fan. As in, she knows her stats.

As a producer, she's directed Heisenberg (Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston), re-created Apollo 11 on a legendary soundstage in L.A. and did some guerrilla shooting (no animals were harmed) on a mountain in Arizona. Welcome to the team, Brittany!

Hailing from Sarasota, Florida, Jonny is a guitarist, writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Jonny moved to Nashville in 2014 to attend Belmont University where he graduated with a degree in Commercial Music. Since his arrival in Music City, Jonny has explored many different music and music-related occupations, from live sound engineer and stagehand to performer and music journalist. Jonny loves Bluegrass, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pop music, and French. Not necessarily in that order.

Rocky is not pretty. But he has a certain beauty--like life itself. It might be noted that Bulldogs are one of the only canine breeds which cannot howl due to the shape of their brachycephalic nasal cavity. Howling is not what we do. It's who we are.

Katie Burke is the Renaissance woman of the bunch. She is a song-writer and vocalist for Howling Music, while also directing, writing, and acting in film & television. When she’s trying to impress a crowd she uses her work with SONY and Lionsgat…

Katie Burke is our resident Renaissance woman. This Boston native is a triple threat song-writer, vocalist and music producer as well as a gifted screenwriter, actor and director for film & television. Musically, she's at home in a dizzying array of genres from Soul to Modern Alt Pop and all points in between. When not dazzling with her musical talents she focuses on titrating her soymilk-to-cream ratio in her cold brews at any number of Nashville coffee houses.
